Turn your celebration into an unforgettable moment: "Organizing a party is my biggest passion, but I get that it can feel daunting if you don't do it often. That's why I'm sharing my 8 golden tips for throwing a successful party!", says Patricia.

Tip 1: It all starts with a solid foundation
--------------------------------------------

Who can't miss this special day? Make a guest list and expect about ten percent to cancel. Once you know how many guests to expect, you can move on to the venue. Don't go too big — nothing kills the vibe like empty spaces. An outdoor venue has its charm, but also its challenges: extra costs and work for decorations, plus suppliers for drinks, food, and restrooms. Start reaching out to venues and suppliers early, so you have time to make all your wishes happen. Venue sorted? Then on to the details!

Tip 2: It's all in the details
------------------------------

No need to panic: not every theme means your guests have to show up in full costume. A subtle nod to a color or vibe is often enough. Think of a summer garden party with 'off-white and pink' as the theme — and carry that through in your invitation and decor.

Tip 3: Guests want clarity
--------------------------

Time for the invitation! Order yours now with 10% off using code PARTY10. Be extra clear about who you're inviting, especially if you have specific wishes. Are kids welcome or not? State it clearly on the invitation to avoid disappointment. Send the official invitation six to eight weeks in advance. Hosting a party or wedding at a special (international) venue, or during a busy period? Then a save-the-date is a smart move. Handy tip: let guests know whether to block the whole day, evening, or multiple days in their calendar.

Tip 4: Always include this on an invitation
-------------------------------------------

- Who's hosting the party?
- What's the occasion?
- When is the party?
- What time should guests arrive?
- Where is the party?
- What's the dress code or style tip?
- Gift tip
- RSVP request, if that matters to you
- Who's invited? (Handy to repeat as the greeting on the envelope)

Tip 5: Gift suggestions: just do it!
------------------------------------

In our culture, we don't always ask for gifts outright, but let's be honest — you like giving something too when you go to a party. That's why I prefer calling it 'gift suggestions'. An envelope with cash always works, but it's even nicer if you briefly mention what it's for — that dream trip or new garden furniture, for example.

Tip 6: Make it personal
-----------------------

Every party, big or small, has room for choices that make it truly yours. Start right at the entrance: a welcome sign or light-up letters create a warm, personal welcome. A sign with text in the style of your invitation, with a recognizable detail, instantly becomes the eye-catcher of the day. Pick a venue that fits you, and serve food and drinks you genuinely love — your favorite chips on the table, that one cake, or a carefully chosen wine or cocktail. Want to thank your guests afterward? Choose candy you love yourself, or send a card with a photo and a personal note. Add a link to the photos, and just like that, guests have a lasting memory. Speaking of which...

Tip 7: The perfect shot!
------------------------

Everyone's got a decent camera in their pocket these days, but if you want your guests to actually get to be guests, hiring a photographer is a smart move. That way, you're guaranteed a great shot of your amazing party. There's a photographer for every budget and every need, and you don't have to book one for the whole evening either. A fun alternative: set up a photo booth. That way guests can pose exactly how they want, with whoever they want. With a fun backdrop and a few props (dress-up items), you can easily make one yourself.

Tip 8: Don't be afraid to ask for help
--------------------------------------

Think ahead about whether it makes sense to involve others in the preparations — many hands make light work. Outsourcing the coordination? Make sure to prepare a clear schedule with contact details for the caterer or DJ. And when it's time to clean up afterward, don't assume people will stick around to help unless you ask. Afterward, share all the stories from the party with each other — bet you missed something yourself? However well you plan, something will always go differently than expected. The beautiful thing is, your guests usually don't even notice. So relax, enjoy, and have fun with the preparations!
