We built a free poster maker, taught LensGo six new languages, made the whole website faster on phones, and smoothed out a dozen little things that used to be annoying. Here is everything that changed, in plain language. **Make your own party poster, for free** ---------------------------------------- This is the big one. Every event needs a sign on the table that tells guests where to send their photos. Until now you had to make that yourself. Now LensGo does it for you. Pick one of our ready-made designs, type in your own text, choose your colours, and you are done. Your event's QR code is already on it, so guests just point their phone camera at the poster and start uploading. A few things worth knowing: - There are **20 designs for each type of event**, so a wedding poster looks like a wedding poster and a birthday poster looks like a birthday one. Prefer to start from scratch? There is a blank design too. - You can choose **portrait or landscape**, and **A4 or A5** paper. - You can pick a **different font for each line of text**, and see what each font looks like before you choose it. - You can **add your own logo**, which is handy for company parties and conferences. - When you are happy, you download a **print-ready PDF**. It is high resolution, so it looks sharp at the print shop, not blurry. - You can **save your design** and come back to it later, and **like** the templates you want to keep an eye on. It is completely free, on every plan, including the free one. You will find it in the menu under Posters, and there is a card on your dashboard with a few designs to get you started. We also made the poster editor properly usable on a phone. The buttons sit where your thumb is, and there is a preview button so you can see the whole poster before you download it. **A free QR code generator for weddings** ----------------------------------------- We built a small tool for people who are not LensGo customers yet: a page where you can create a QR code for your wedding photos in a few seconds. No account, no payment. If you are planning a wedding and someone asks you "how do we collect everyone's photos?", this is the page to send them. **Uploading photos got faster and less frustrating** ---------------------------------------------------- Guests upload photos from their phones, often on a shaky wifi connection at a venue. We spent a lot of time on this. - **Uploads are noticeably faster now.** Instead of throwing every photo at the internet at once and clogging things up, LensGo sends them in a steady stream. - **Photos appear in the album almost immediately.** Before, you would see empty grey squares for a moment while everything caught up. Now you see your photo the second it is uploaded. - We also fixed a few errors that could pop up when someone cancelled an upload halfway through. **Tidying up your album in one go** ----------------------------------- On the Album page when logged in you can now **select a bunch of photos at once** and hide them, show them, or delete them together. No more clicking through them one at a time. **A brand new website** ----------------------- We rebuilt the entire LensGo website from the ground up. It looks better, and more importantly it is a lot faster, especially on a phone. The old site had a lot of moving decoration: text that typed itself out, sections that slid into view as you scrolled, a scrolling banner. It looked nice on a laptop and it made phones sweat. We took it out. The menu now opens the instant you tap it, and pages load quicker. Other bits of the new site: - A **new menu** that is easier to read and easier to use with one hand. - The **language switcher moved to the top of the page**, where you would expect to find it. - A proper **contact page**, so you can send us a message without hunting for an email address. - **Live chat** is now one click away from inside the app. If you have a question while setting up your event, just ask. And because we ask for your name and email when we do not know you yet, you get an answer even if you close the window. **LensGo speaks six new languages** ----------------------------------- LensGo was already available in English, Dutch, German and Spanish. In July we added: **French, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Italian.** And we do mean the whole thing, not just the front page. The website, the app, the buttons, the emails, the privacy policy and the terms are all translated. Ten languages in total now. **And a pile of small things** ------------------------------ - You cannot accidentally create an event with a date in the past anymore. - Fixed a bug in the password screen. - If you are already on a paid plan, we stopped sending you emails suggesting you upgrade. Sorry about that. - Various small fixes across the app: layout hiccups, a stray placeholder in an email, and a handful of buttons that were harder to tap than they should have been. **What's next** --------------- We are not done with the poster maker, and we have more ideas for making the day of your event effortless.
